Well here goes nothing!!
Im a married mum of 3, in £5000.00 Debt, doesnt sound that bad, right?
WRONG!!
Im currently on maternity leave till next month, bringing in £1045.00 a month, which is including a disability supplement as i have a mental disability aswell. Then youv'e got the wages from (2 JOBS) and tax credits for the working disability rate and obviously child rate, yet my outgoing are unbelievable,
now this is the weird bit:
My partner is not and will not be subjected to my debts, which is fair enough as they are my debts only, however, i only get the CTC for 2 of my 3 kids, as my oldest lives with my mum due to my disability status at the time of her birth, (im 24, and shes now 6, so i was 18 when i had her).,
He pays everything else that i cant afford, just so i can keep on top of my debts, but:
Ive had no choice but to do a DMP as what was £9000 at the time was too unaffordable, I have a dead credit report & Score, i have 1 credit card which by the way has increased its APR due to changing hands, then i got a reserve fee on an old barclays account, that they wont close down as its in debt (even though, the debts caused by their bank charges being my job at the time ended, however meanwhile, all incomes to my main bank of natwest, but incidentally im now left with 4 debts rather than 3. Tax credits wont own up to over paying me without me even knowing, going back to when i was a single mum of 1 at 18 years old, only working 19 hours a week back in 2003 before i met my husband.
I have a loan outstanding with 2 default notices due to the DMP and having stopped Standing orders obviously, and now they r claiming more back on the loan than they should because, surprise surpirse, they are no longer lending and going bust.
I cant get a balance transfer to save my life, i dont care about my score as ive no intention of it being put to use for at least 10 years anyway.
Im living as frugal as possible in a oxfam/freecycle council houyse, with room saving and food saving at all times, all loose change is becoming odd little payment on bills and debts and every now and then its paid back into the bank, even if its a quid.am i being extreme, or does this sound like i have a right to worry?.
Everything is 2nd hand in our home, and all food that could be wasted always gets frozen regardless, and my husband doesnt want to know as long as the bills are paid...
thankfully ive got christmas 2009 sorted already, but had to use it on credit as i wont be able to afford to when it arrives.

Hi there.
I'm not an expert, although your home phone, mobile, internet and satellite TV seem really high.
Is there a way you could combine these into a package that will lower the total outgoing?
Can you renegotiate current tariffs or packages to the basic ones?0 -
Are you really paying £130 in nursery/childcare fees when on maternity leave?0

My broadband and sky are all one package but ive split the totals as of how the SOA was set out, im on the lowest package for sky and broadband, and my landline is with yourcalls.net who i switched via a link on here, and has saved me loads of money since i switched with them, despite my bad income disposal.
My mobile is hardly used, some months its £30, other months its a fiver or nothing.
As for the childcare, because of my disability i have to have help with the care of my youngest till im back in work which is currently based on £1560.00 a year, thats based on 2hours a day being meal times ,but when im back at work from end october, the hours will be doubled as i have 2 job to return to, and as neither of them are within school hours, childcare will be twice the charge, but i will still be paying out the same as my husband will be paying the other half from then on.
my working hours are normally from
7.30am - 9.30am and then 3.45pm till 5.45pm . If i didnt have the 2nd job, id lose about £160.00 a week at least, and i had to get the 2nd job because i couldnt live on such a low income even wioth a partner, and that was before my debts appearred.!Legal Fees £1325.00

ive just received a letter saying that barclays are going tp remove the reserve fee at the end of october if no payments have been made, yet obviously having my dmp, im unsure if this is because its taken them so long to accept the dmp, or whther ornot its because they will slap on bigger interest on my normal account debt balance rather than having an allowed reserve amount..
