flat smells like a hamster cage!

Hello oh wise ones!

I have just moved to Hungary, and i have a problem which i think only you lovely people could help me with...

My flat smells like a hamster cage! Every time i get home its the firrst thing that hits me.... It dont notice it after that first second though!

I have washed and swept all of the floors, but they still leave my feet dirty! maybe thats another thing you could help me! how to get these tiled floors clean!

All surfaces have been washed and polished, all cupboards cleaned and washed out, all soft furnishings hovered.

All i can think to do is get some air fresheners. I know well i hope it isn't me as i've never had this problem in a place i've lived in before... Oh and The windows are open all day as it is still hot here! (sorry to rub it in!)

I noticed a smell like that and then discovered we had mice !!

The smell went after a good clean when the mice had gone !!

Have a good hunt for little black 'rice grains' in corners under furniture etc.
