Replacement Engagement Ring

After 22 years of marriage, my wife's engagement ring has broken.
Through wearing it every day, the diamond clasp wore out and the diamond popped out. Luckily, it was found but the ring is so worn it is beyond repair.
Has anyone any suggestions on how to get a new one made with the original diamond, and the expected cost? Would you go to a high street jewellers or a designer?

I would go to somewhere online personally! Try the Birminham jewellery quarter, there are a lot of people who have been here and get better value for money! I'm sure someone else more knowledgable will be along soon! I would check with a local independant jeweller, they should be able to reset the diamond for you, so lucky you found that. Might be worth checking with your insurer, if the ring was covered they may be able to help. Sorry don't know a great deal re jewellery , just like looking at it, sure people will be along with better advice.Booo!!!0

There are lots of small jewellary repairers that will almost certainly be able to reset the diamond in the ring for you. From memory a friend was charged about £30 for it. Alternatively there are plenty of off the shelf rings available for setting your own stone in it, the same sort of place should have them or alternatively the jewellary quarter in any major city. All posts made are simply my own opinions and are neither professional advice nor the opinions of my employers
