Endownment Advice

Is it possible to claim for a mis-selling despite having cashed in the policy. We took out an endownment policy with our first mortgage in 1993, the broker didn't even mention a repayment mortgage to us. As time went on we changed to repayment and cashed in our endownment to help pay for home improvements. I don't have a policy number either which makes it more difficult. Is this a lost cause?

You can put a complaint in. However, any correctional amount paid would go upto the point you no longer had it linked to the mortgage. If this was prior to 2001, then its unlikely any amount would be paid, even on an upheld complaint, because that is before the stockmarket crash.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA).
