Barclay Loan
Hi
I have been in dispute with Barclays for the past 18 months or so, the FOS have finally got their act together and it looks close to being resolved.
Barclays have sent me a new contract for an interest free loan as advised by the FOS. But the problem I have is they have also sent a standing order request, due to the fact Barclays weren't getting their own way they closed my current account down (in my view in breach of contract but that is a completely different story).
If I fill out this standing order form out can they set it up with my current account which is with Nationwide? I am unsure how they can do this. I do not want to sign this standing order for as there are a lot of blanks which I don't have the information to fill out, plus the way they have written the amounts these could be easily doctored. I would not trust Barclays with a tomato let alone the ability to change such a form in their favour.

You will send your form to Nationwide to setup if its a standing order.
If its a direct debit form send it to Barclays and they have to abide by rules under the direct debit scheme.I beep for Robins - Beep Beep

the standing order form they have sent is for Barclays not Nationwide, there is no way I could change it to Nationwide. They have also neglected on this form who will receive these funds. If I ignore this form and send it back with a covering explanation as to why I have not filled it out would this be sufficient?
As for a direct debit I would not trust Barclays with something like that, with the experiences I have received from Barclays they make there own laws and there is nothing we can do about this.0 -
The Standing Order would have to be set up on your Nationwide account as the previous poster advised. Direct Debits are set up at the receiving organisation and set through to your nominated current account through the direct debit system.0

hi m8, just ask them for the sort code and account number of the loan & set it up on your nationwide online banking.
make sure you give enought time for it to clear before the due date.0 -
Cheers for your help. I have written a letter that I am going to send tomorrow asking them for that information.0
