Giraffe Gift Vouchers expired, what to do ??

Hi everybody,
Didn't really know where to put this so apologies if this is incorrect. We were very kindly given £50 of Gift Vouchers for the restaurant chain Giraffe, but couldn't find them anywhere. With the cold weather yesterday I found them hiding in my winter body warmer. Only problem is that they expired on March 2009. Anyone got any tips /advice on how to change this. Write to Giraffe head office ?? Or plead ignorance at at branch ? Or sneakily change the March 09 in pen to something else, like March 3009
Any advice will be greatfully received.
