I may be wrong but having spent all day saturday looking at and comparing cameras this looks remarkably like a vivitar vivicam.
The 5mp model is still available at superdrug for £69.99 and if you register on their website you can get a voucher for another 10% off.
Looked like a nice camera with a metal case too. Reviews are either very good or very bad so it looks like the quality control isn't too hot.0 -
I think good reviews of vivitar tend to come from people new to digital photography. If they had just sold their big brand camera and bought a vivitar they would probably be a lot less impressed.Be nice0

You're probably right smashed - you get what you pay for.
I only wanted a cheapie for my wife who didn't really want a digital so i was going to get her a cheapie to try and go from there. Otherwise I would be looking at prices from £150. Found the 5383 mispriced in a local superdrug for £49.99 today and then they had 10% off everything so I got it for £45! Manager ripped down all the price labels! Bargain - just hope my wife likes it - if not it will go away for the kids at xmas.0 -

Amazon have the Kodak EasyShare C330 (4MP) for £69.87 with free delivery:

From the 5 reviews on amazon it seems okay - although I found some less favourable reviews on other (US) sites (Eg: epinions) but at that price could be a reasonable option as a cheapie digicam for standard size prints?"The happiest of people don't necessarily have the

Don't know how good it is, again some reviews ok some bad. I just want a cheap one for school, I'm training to be a teacher.
