help for a OS bday....

Hello well it my dds bday on the 29th and i really dont want to be spending a fortune on ready made food etc like i have always done... First of i will make her bday cake (wish me luck...) so has any body got a easy no fail receipy for a cake?? Just a sponge one - have tried before and never get it just right…

Food, hot dogs are super easy and no fuss to hand out. You could make them mini hotdogs by cutting them up whilst in the buns, bowls of crisps and breadsticks and dips. Maybe some sweetcorn on the cob if you fancy.

Party bags, years ago I did a treasure hunt where the kids had to follow clues all around where we lived until they found the treasure. They all had a bag to fill and I'd filled a huge box or bucket with popcorn interspersed with a few sweets, they loved it and all came back with full party bags so job done.
