Just a quick check in to say that I had a lovely £10 night stay at the Millennium Hotel, Reading, last night - there are still rooms on offer for that price until the end of the year as it's their 10th birthday - I'm coming again in October!!

Also, just logged on to TopCashBack to find that my O2 money is now ready for transfer - that's £200 heading for the savings account!!

Have a good half term :)

Back in an eBay mood today - listed some clothing (never listed clothing before!) and I'm also selling my xbox and games - not too sure what they are likely to bring in, but all proceeds are going towards a new summer beach wardrobe for my Spain break at the end of July!!

Hope you've not listed everything yet - I just wanted to let you know that it's a free listing day on Sunday on Ebay.

(Sorry if I am too late :o)

Good luck with it all though :)

Thanks Mini, I have listed all the bits but there was no insertion fee for any of the games apart from my xbox console. Thanks for the heads up though. How's life with you? Started your new diary yet?

Still plodding on with the old one. Had a bit of a blip over the last week or so - I let myself get far too stressed about it all, but some kind words have calmed me back down. I think I need to work hard on not trying too much at once, and not setting my goals too high :o

The 'Millenium Hotel' sounds quite posh!. We had a weekend in a Hilton last month (thanks to clubcard deals) and it was sooooo good to get away from it all and recharge a little.

Millennium Hotel was stunning and even better for £10!!

I look at my signature and can't believe what I am reading anymore - one debt at a time is my best advice for you. If it was a debt that was too high (my loans for example), rather than paying off small little bits, I put the overpayments into a savings account and paid them off in lump.

Stick with it and don't beat yourself up. I went shopping yesterday with my wife but found it really hard to 'let go' and buy anything which was a little sad in a way.

I know what you mean - I got a little money for my birthday and was really looking forward to a little retail therapy 'me' time. Three hours later I gave up, and made an overpayment instead.

It's still early days for you though, I'm sure your spending habits will change a little as you get more used to where you are now.

I find it easier to buy online or from a catalogue than I do in a store. I think the physical act of handing over my money is just too much for me :rotfl:

£128 made on eBay this week and £3.05 made on Amazon - although this does not take into account postage (some heavy items here!), a great feeling to transfer such a big amount. :)

CRIKEY! What a busy week it has been, I'll try to sum it all up in one 'small' post!

The week started with me posting some eBay bits that I sold at the end of last week. As the week progressed, I saw my eBay stuff rise and rise and eventually totaling £140 + postage costs. Although there were some heavy items, I did not miss out too much with the fees.

It has meant that I have been able to buy a Blu Ray player this morning. Nothing fancy, but got 10% off as it's ex-display. I am now bust updating my LoveFilm in order to get lots of nice shiny Blu Ray discs through my door over the coming months.

Not too much else to report apart from some Amazon book sales earning me about £10.

Next week might seem a little boring in comparison!!

Crikey! I can't believe that it has been over a month since I last updated my diary. As it's payday next week I won't do a major update now. Been an up and down month as far as money goes so I'm not really sure how the signature update will look next month - need to get back on the wagon a little as of late I've kind of had a 'it doesn't matter' attitude to money which I've got to slip out of - especially as I felt I had done so well at the start of the year. Right here goes..... stepping back up on the wagon .......
