cheap laptop dell versus toshiba?

I have narrowed down my search for a new laptop for my uni bound daughter to 2 laptops of similar spec

this dell at £360

    The Dell spec. is better than the toshiba.

    Although at the same price you can get a desktop with an even better spec.

    The Dell:
    Order it via Quidco for 4.5% back on the basic (pre VAT & Delivery) price.
    Upgrade the battery for £11.75 - lasts longer when not on mains.
    I would also get the XP Home backup media for £5.88
    Don't get any of the other upgrades - or check here first!

    If she wants Microsoft Office - get the student edition from Amazon £93
