What's the best way of getting 20k for home improvements

I need to have 20 k for home improvements. Is it better to put it on my mortgage or should I take out a separate term 10 yr loan?

    Depends on how much spare dosh you have as the general rule is the longer the term you borrow the money the more you will pay in intrest so a shorter term will mean paying more in installments. So it comes down to lenth of term in mortgage ie is it more than ten years and your ability to repay over a shorter period
