You've got lanzarote, gran canaria or fuertuventura (sp?) as well as tenerife.
Steve wants us to go back to lanzarote for our honeymoon (been there twice before, once just us and once with the kids).
He didn't like my idea of New York cos he wants some sun lolTank fly boss walk jam nitty gritty...0 -
Bulgaria may be an idea. It's not on the Euro and apparently your money goes a long way there, really cheap accommodation, food and drink etc. Also it's bordered by the Black sea, Greece and Turkey so sun isn't a problem.
I'm going a week today for a week, I'll let you know what its like when I come back.0 -

Steve mentioned Bulgaria to me, i've never even thought of going there before! He also mentioned Croatia as my Uncle owns property out there.
Have a lovely holiday and let us know what it's like there please!

we went out to Bulgaria

not for honeymoon but for a wakeboarding holiday. (I know I know, we're nutters)
Drinks bill for the week including bottled water came to........... £25 each! :j
and the wakeboarding was super cheep too
Not that, thats a honeymoon activity - well not for most people.:rotfl:
We're going out again to learn snowboarding if we can afford it. (Big IF at the moment)
Dunno what I expected out there but what we got wasnt it. There are beautiful lakes and forests and there's the beach but the mountains are stunning too and still snow capped in May when we went.
Loadsa folk speak english (Be sure to ask for english tea and tell them you have milk in it or you'll never get it
)
The sun was amazing, be really toasty warm in july. I mean in may we were in the lake in just swimming cozzys - no wetsuit to keep you warm needed.
The cities are quite westernised but you can get out into the country and still see donkeys pulling carts and little old dears tending goats or looking after the veg patch.
I kinda fell a little in love with the place

(Mind you when you can buy a farm for like £20k.... ooohh it's tempting LOL)"I know that Prince Charming doesn’t come save me, we save each other and fight back to back against all comers that’s what marriage is to me. Nothing passive, no being carried off on a white steed, give me my own damn horse and lets ride into the sunset side by side." - Laurell K. Hamilton.0 -
Why not go to Malta with the kids? Do you remember the film Popeye with Robin Williams as Popeye? Well the actual village that is used in the film is still around in malta. I went when I was a little baby, don't really remember it, but I REALLY want to go again.
Plus the fact that they've added some kids activities aswell
