So,
For the last week my friend from the states has visited, and my debt has risen. I now feel really bad. My bank account has gone past the overdraft and i got a £35 bank charge for a £7 card misuse which makes me annoyed at the bank as much as me.
Anyway, i'm going to try and start afresh from this Friday *payday*. The only one ray of light is that i managed to pay my NHS repayment just in time. I should get paid £350 and i'm thinking £100 on credit card, £20 on pension and the rest on overdraft. That sound good?

Hi there
It is very hard to offer you any advice without knowing what the APRs of your debts are. Perhaps you could post an SOA - you can see how by reading this message http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=107280Leason learnt :beer:0 -
Oh the only one that charges intrest is the Credit Card - 29%apr - The only one i can get (capital one)0

Your overdraft is 0%? If so then bung as much as you can on the credit card - well as long as you don't go over your overdraft limit before you get paid again..."Debt makes plans for you" - A quote from my friend Catherine. How true!0

My advice would be to pay as much as possible off the debt that has the high APR and minimum off the others. Obviously try to keep within your OD as the bank charges will only make things worse for you.
You could give your bank and call and see if they will refund the £35 charge they applied for going over by £7. Worth a shot

If youve never done an SOA really, it can be lifechanging in every sense. Chances are we can find you spare money to chuck at your cards so this reduces the chances of this happening again
Lynz:beer: Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0
