But the keyboard is PS/2 only the mouse is either PS/2 or USB

Are you sure about this Seth. Have you tried it with only the USB connector plugged in?.

I don't have this particular set but my Benq wireless keyboard & mouse have the same connectors (1 usb plug & 1 ps2 plug) and both devices operate with just the usb connector plugged in. This confused me when I received my Benq set. As the cable had a usb plug & a ps2 plug I assumed they both had to be connected. It wasn't the case.

It might be worth you removing the ps2 plug from your laptop and see if both your keyboard & mouse still operates. I'm not certain but it's worth a try.

Have a look at the system requirements on the Logitech website. 1 USB port or 2 PS2 ports:

Thanks it IS very clear in the system requirements. Off to ebuyer....

Wow ordered some DECT phones last night (2 x BT ones for £17+Vat) and Ebuyer let add items to the order even though the phones had been processed, it even showed me the old and new orders side by side before confirming! And the P&P is only charged once good old Ebuyer!

Thanks to the MSErs for the OP and the help with this!

Why do companies feel the need to mess with the keyboard layout. Drives me mad! The Function keys seem to have been made into little round buttons and the layout of the delete/insert/home keys are all wrong.

Nightmare for those of us who touchtype! I'd love a cordless keyboard/mouse set which has a standard keyboard layout!

I agree the Toshiba laptops have the Windows key on the top right, not bottom left and the bloody Toshiba key that I used only for OHP and TV is on the bottom left!

Any good key remapping software for Windows?

    I haven't (and won't) install SP2.
Why? Is there a problem with it?

Probably because he has an illegal licence number, so he CAN'T install SP2.

I have a genuine license and refuse to install SP2 because I dont like the stuff it adds and the amount it lags my machine compared with its original version of Windows without SP1 or 2.

Was looking at this to replace an ebuyer brand cordless keyboard (I have two computers using these keyboards - they interfere with each other). Is the logitech one better than the microsoft one for the same price here?

Can they control itunes with the media buttons?
