    Hello needmoney

The labelling on my packet of Caster Sugar states:

Sugar is a natural preservative and if stored in a cool, dry place will keep indefinitely.

I hope that answers your question.

    Kind Regards

Absolutely not - sugar cannot go off at all,it is indestructible. It is one of the few foods which doesn't have to have an expiry date.It can sometimes go hard, but I think you can soften it by sprinkling with water and microwaving.
