help! can bland pasta salad be rescued?

I decided to try making a simple pasta salad today instead of buying one

Chopped tomatoes, red & green peppers, onions & sweetcorn & added to cooked pasta & added a little basil.

It smells ok, but is lacking in taste....any suggestions on how I can perk it up a bit ???

Mayonnaise on the pasta? Mayonnaise with a splash of mustard/powder? Mayonnaise with a splash of chilli powder?

Or how about a mini splash of orange juice on the pasta?

It's difficult to suggest when we've no idea what you've got.

Do you have any jars/bottles of relish that would work with the pasta?

I think a dressing's definitely the way to go. With what you've got already I'd go for something spicy - mayonnaise with chilli, as PasturesNew suggests, or a quick vinagarette (sp?) with a pinch of chilli or some spice mix added, if you've got some.
Back after a very long break!

I would second the chilli mayonnaise idea - maybe a squeeze of lemon juice too.

Crumbled up cooked bacon? Olives? Tuna fish?

But definately with a dressing. Basic vinigrette is fine.

    I do this and put
    Tuna
    sweetcorn
    boiled eggs
    chunks cheese
    spring onions cherry tomatoes
    pot coleslaw
    pot of potato salad
    peppers
    mayonaise and garlic puree.

It is really nice and keeps for a few days in the fridge.
