After asking advice on here, I ventured onto ebay for mine. Got a £1200 ring for £150 and I love it to bits!0

I got mine from http://www.whiteflash.com/
but i would also look at: http://www.brianthecutter.com/ - he's in the process of setting up his webshop, but he is a well respected figure in the diamond world - and is a 5th generation diamond cutter.
Brian and whiteflash cut their own stones - at exclusive cutting houses in Antwerp. they dont cut stones for anybody else.
Yes they are based in the US, but importing to the UK is very easy. (Blue Nile is US based as well, but now have a .co.uk website as well as their .com site due to demand/interest from UK buyers)2009 wins: Signed Saxon CD, Solar Torch, Drumsticks, Priest Feast Tix, Watch, Hammerfest tix :beer:0 -
we bought our wedding and engagement rings from blue nile in june. we first went to ''diamond district'' in farringdon, and visited about 15 jewellers. chose the ring i wanted, and priced it up at at least 7 or 8 of the places. their quotes averaged between 3000-4000 pounds for the ring. i then bought the exact same ring on blue nile for 1800. it is so so beautiful and i get lots of compliments. for diamonds, dont go near the high street! they stock the lowest quality diamonds. the customer service and delivery for blue nile was great. they actually have a factory here in the uk, so when you call u are directed here (unless you call in the middle of the night i think). they actually build the ring in the UK.
btw- a few days after we selected our ring on blue nile, the price shot up (naturally the prices fluctuate). on ringing them, without any questions they agreed to hold the ring for me at the previous price for a week while i make my decision about it. no strings attached! great service :-)0 -
We've recently bought both our wedding rings from www.weddingringsdirect.com
Can't comment on their engagement ring selection but have been really impressed with their customer service and would absolutely recommend them. I'm having my wedding ring custom made to fit round my engagement ring and they've been hugely helpful in what style to choose.0 -
Has anyone used diamondsndiamonds.co.uk or purelydiamonds.co.uk?0

Hi there,
We used Purely Diamonds and have to say their service was excellent. The stone came loose about 6 months after buying the ring but they reset the diamond in a brand new ring with no questions asked and I had it back on my finger within days.
I wouldn't hesitate to use them again, but I hope I never need to. We were going to buy our wedding rings from them but ended up going with Elma Jewellry on ebay who were equally brilliant and had fabulous rings at very good prices.0 -
My boyfriend and I recently got engaged and we shopped on-line at cheapengagementrings.org.uk there is a good selection available and I have a beautiful ring as a result!0

Has anybody used diamondsfactory.co.uk? They seem way cheaper than what I have found so far. Just want to know i'm getting what I pay for.
Thanks.0 -
