MPPI help needed

Hi all

I am about to take out a 3 year fixed rate mortgage for a first time buyer with Britannia (me and girlfriend)....the rate is 4.49% on £110000

Now we are trying to figure out this payment protection. Britannia are offering to pay the payment protection for 6months I assume that is for both of us

I have had a look on helupay and it costs around £20 per month to cover the mortgage payments (which will be around £620 for the fixed rate period) with 25% extra payments also included

What we dont really understand is if this protection is for both of us or just me?? ie if I am out of work will helpupay my half of the mortgage and vise versa........dont really get it at all to be honest

Any help if very much appreciated.
