Up a certain creek without a paddle - any way out without a DMP?

I am not certain of the value of the flat, but similar ground floor one just sold for c.175k. That one is also due to have the same works done although it hasn't been done yet so doesn't actually have charge looming. Realistically I need to face up to the fact that I wont be moving any time soon. I need to concentrate on keeping this particular roof over my head. Both bedrooms here are fairly large doubles for a flat so there is some scope for temporarily dividing the room with screen or curtain so children can have separate space. Not ideal as they get a bit older but not a lot of choice now.

Dh has said he should be able to earn £200 extra every month with overtime (maybe a bit more sometimes). He is going to have to have roll-ups instead of tailor-mades as far as cigarettes are concerned until he can manage to give it up. My place were planning to stop the overtime -I'll see what happens when I go back (on annual leave at the moment)

I'll see what legal advice the leaseholder groups have had to see if there is anything in trying to get more time to pay.
