Silly wastes of money

We all have 'senior moments'.

I had 2 at weekend.....

Friday morning bought lovely loaf from bakers as weekend treat (don't eat bread during week, far too adictive!). It is currently sitting under my desk as I forgot to take it home. Wonder how many croutons I can make from a whole loaf!

Saturday pm went to Boots..... spent £25 (can't get stuff I needed elsewhere) - forgot to use double points coupon:eek:

Am a v silly mare.....

    Hope you like croutons!;)

As for forgetting to use the Boots double points coupon, i wonder if its worth taking the coupon back with your receipt and asking if the points can be added manually. They can do this if you dont have your advantage card with you at the time of purchase but have to be added within 30 days. Worth a try?!

Yes, plenty of forgetful moments here!

    Common ones include:

    - forgetting to take packed lunch that I've lovingly made the night before; or
    - remembering packed lunch and then get to work to see I have a client lunch to attend
    - leaving detailed shopping list at home and forgetting to get some items

Today's one was walking around lots of shops to find the cheapest of something, then not remembering which shop was the cheapest! :rotfl: Oh well, good exercise I guess!

My latest senior moment (I have many but this one is money related!!) is paying for stuff using my IF visa card (which is 12.9% APR), however, I do tend to pay this off when I get the statement.......then realising that I have my HSBC visa card which is 0% on BT AND PURCHASES for 9 months (and has about £700 'available credit' on it! Dope!! Now I've got to pay about £7/800 off IF over the next two statements!!!

Buying a packet of fags - "20, no 10, no 20" - paying for them then leaving them on the counter and not realising till you get home.

    Serves me right.

The main ones connected to money would be things like proudly presenting a load of coupons to the cashier and she telling me they are all out of date. Also buying reduced food and throwing it out because I dont' even like it!:D
