Endowments behaviour

Hi all, come November we should have a large chunk of our mortgage paid for with this 25 year old endowment with Zurich (was Allied Dumbar at the time). Last June we received some bad news concerning tis investment as everyone here would have experienced. Now that Footsie is looking healthier this cash amount is surely due to have increased up to a more aceptable figure? or will the insurance company come up with a poor excuse saying that markets have not bounced back enough ???

The recovery isnt at 50% yet. So, it wont be an excuse. It will be the truth.

How is your endowment invested? Is it in a FTSE100 tracker or general UK growth fund? Or is it in other funds?
