HP for car loan

I currently lease a car at £291 per month, I can hand the car back at anytime(deal runs out in 18 months when I have to give it back). I will still need a car for work. I will probably end up in the next couple of months on a DMP. My credit score is good at present as I am using what little savings I had to keep my creditors happy. I realise if I go on a DMP and keep my present car then I will be without a car in 18 months and unable to earn my living. I feel a bit awkward about getting HP for a car then trying to get on a DMP but can't see any other way round it? Any help ideas greatfully appreciated.
