I know someone was asking on here a few weeks ago when they could book - and last year when I posted a lot of us had a great time with our families there!:rudolf::santa2:
A slight change this year in that you have to pay £5 admin fee - but that is credited to an award card to spend in store - T & C attached. (Think you need to have one in advance) https://www.harrods.com/HarrodsStore/User/getARewardsCard.aspx

"Our new Christmas Grotto booking service will enable you to reserve a specific time slot for your Grotto visit, so you shouldn’t have to wait for more than 30 minutes.

BOOK ONLINE FROM 22nd SEPTEMBER

Tickets are free of charge with an administration fee of £5 per booking.
This will be re-credited to your Rewards card and available to spend in Harrods on the day you visit the Grotto.

Please note that all adults and children require tickets to enter the Grotto."

"Terms and Conditions for entry to the Harrods Christmas Grotto
Harrods Christmas Grotto runs from the 7th November to 24th December 2009 inclusive. For certain dates there may be a restriction on the maximum number of Harrods Christmas Grotto e-Tickets ("Grotto e-Tickets") that may be requested. A maximum of 10 Grotto e-Tickets will be issued per person and there will be a £5 administration fee per booking. Acceptance of Grotto e-Tickets confirms agreement to the following: Grotto e-Tickets are issued free of charge, hold no cash value, and are not for re-sale or transfer. There is no cash alternative. Grotto e-Tickets are only for your personal use and that of your party. Harrods reserve the right to cancel Grotto e-Tickets that have been transferred or resold. Grotto e-Tickets must be presented in person at the Harrods Christmas Grotto 30 minutes before the allocated time.
All persons must have a valid Grotto e-Ticket for entry and all children up to 14 years must be accompanied by an adult. If you can no longer attend at the date and time allocated on your Grotto e-Ticket, please contact Customer Services on 020 7893 8877. Harrods reserves the right to refuse admission to the Harrods Christmas Grotto. There is a £5 administration fee per booking. The Grotto booking fee is non-refundable. If you are a Harrods Rewards Card Holder the £5 administration fee will be credited to your Rewards Card for spending in store only on the day of your visit to the Harrods Christmas Grotto. has anyone actually managed to book yet - site incredibly slow - web sales bit not responding very well. So want to book this - been 2 years running - almost a tradition for us!

Hi I have been trying since 8am this morning and just had the following message

"Due to unprecedented demand for our Christmas Grotto tickets we have temporarily removed the online booking system. Please rest assured this will be reactivated as soon as possible. We apologise for any inconvenience and thank you for your patience"

Fingers cross we can get some later!

it appears that they switched it off a milisecond before I confirmed final stage of my booking - gutted. Called them, and it is going to reopen tomorrow morning! Guarantee the time I want will be gone :rolleyes:

Not sure about tomorrow morning - there is now a message on the website saying bookings will reopen on Monday 28th. http://www.harrods.com/grotto/
