I've found this online. Might not be the same as in the paper.

    https://www.bookshoppartnership.co.uk/poundaweek/

For a limited time, we are offering Independent readers the opportunity to subscribe to the paper for just £1 a week.

For your first four weeks, you may choose between a 6-day (Monday - Saturday) or weekend only subscription – for just £1 a week. You will also be asked to choose what package you would like after the trial - 7-day, 6-day or weekends only.

After 4 weeks, you will be charged at the discounted rate of £6 a week for a 7-day subscription, £5 for Monday to Saturday, or £2.80 for your weekend subscription.

    Has anybody tried this previously?
Any problems cancelling after 4 weeks?

    Thanks.

    Thanks.

I took out this offer. I received 4 weeks vouchers, waited for £4 to be debited, then cancelled the direct debit. Strangely, I've just received the second months vouchers despite the fact they can't debit my account any more. So it appears I've got 8 week's vouchers for 50p per week. Bargain :-)
