Espresso/Cappucino machine at Currys half price

Bought a Hitachi ESP1 espress machine - half price at £39.99. It is also listed on the website, but no picture - it is stainless stell finsh and looks good. More importantly with the 15 bar pressure it makes good cappucino with the froth lasting for literally hours and also heats up very quickly, makes a cappucino in less than 5 min. Very easy to use as well. Very pleased.

But I was also looking at the Cordon Bleu machine at Argos (421/0683), also half price. Has same spec as Hitachi, doesn't look as nice but is £15 cheaper. Any one bought/tried this one.

Thanks for this. I looked up the Hit at half price but I could not find a picture, and in fact I could not find a definitive indication it is indeed a Hitachi. Do you have a link? Cheers, Alex

Sorry no link - but I went in bought one and it is a hitachi - not sure if it is exclusive to Currys tho' as I cant' find anywhere else.

Went to Woolies today and found a near-identical machine as the Hitachi for £5 less, ie 34.99. Bought it for my father in law - tried and it is identical with some slight cosmetic differences. Quality of coffee ideantical.

Oh and one plus with the Woolies machine is it has a frother mug and drinking mug. But the brand is Elevation ?, whereas Currys is Hitachi. Take your pick
