Credit Report - something missing...

Hi all,

I just got a copy of my credit report from Experian, and working in the credit industry I am familiar with the content and layout of the reports.

In 2005 I took out a mortgage on a property which I owned and lived in with my then girlfriend. The property was sold just last month, howver the mortgage doesnt appear on my credit report, at all, not even as settled, whereas personal loans from 2006 and I credit card from 2007 that I paid off show and as settled.

Would there be any reason for this ?

One of the reasons I may think it could be is when me and the ex split up, she didnt pay her personal loan (unsecured) which was with the mortgage lender, and they got a court order to stop her from selling the property without settling them - could the lender have amended the credit record to her name only after obtaining the order for some reason ?

Also - does anyone know if its possible to remove old associations, as obviously my ex doesnt have a good credit record... or would I have to go down the NOC route, and how can I do this ?

Wow so many questions in the one post lol.

Anyway, if you can help me, great - thanks, if you cant, thanks for reading anyway and have a good weekend

Hi. yes you can remove the financial association with the agencies - here is the link for disassociation for experian - http://experian.metafaq.com/resources/experian/Credit_report/FCQ2

You'll need to do the same for equifax and call credit as well (there should be info on how on their websites).

With regard to the missing mortgage it may be that its only reported to equifax? Have you checked your equifax report? (not sure about the charging order/property query).

    Have a good weekend yourself!
