CCA Requests

Hi,

A quick question about sending the CCA request letters -

Is this only for pre 2006 debt (inclusive of 2006?)
Can you send this letter for an overdraft?

I've tried to find the template letters on here but can't find them!! Can anyone point me in the right direction for these?

No it doesn't apply to overdrafts

Usually its for debts where the agreement (or opening of the account) occured before April 2007. After this date the requirements changed and its unlikely you would find an unenforceable agreement

Thank you so much - I have 2 loans, 1 CC, 1 OD and one HP. I know I can't do anything with the HP or the OD but at least I can try the others!

Sorry, 1 more question. Can you send this letter even if you are making payments?

As the first part says we don't acknowledge the debt - but I've been paying it for years?!

Yes still send it, you can dispute a debt at anytime, don't stop paying yet.

Have you incurred bank charges /credit card charges? Have you looked at reclaiming those yet? There is a separate board with advice on this.

Hi, no I don't have any charges against the accounts. I've managed up til now to pay everything, but now I've been made redundant I can barely meet my basic monthly needs!

Have you been paying any PPI on any of these loans - if so make a claim against it now you have been made redundant.

have you completed a statement of affairs (budget) to see how much you can afford to repay your debts after you have paid priority items? EDIT - sorry just checked and see you did this a few days ago.
