    No alcohol January. No spend February
    Write down all spends over the whole year

    Mad I know, but having got to the point where we can be mortgage free, we are now looking to move to a bigger house and do the same all over again!

    Mortgage free 8 years, the spare cash I used to buy a new property on the French Riviera.
    My retirement plan is to grow old disgracefully, sunbathing topless in St Tropez. Then stumble across a rich and famous film director at Cannes or bump into Stelios near his pad in Monaco ...... meanwhile...

    I pay my last payment tomorrow - 13th of every month for the past 24 years in the same house. Not what I intended but couldn't shift DH and now it's too late.
    Endowment is all sorted to pay it off with a grand total of 32p profit!!! I wont get the new car I was promised the profits would it would make but I'm not complaining, at least I don't have a shortfall.
    Love living in a village in the country side
