Bankruptcy or not!!!

Can anyone give me some advise please... I have debts of £22000, due to being very badly advised when I was divorced and also a period of illness.
I am trying to 'get my head' around the moral implications of the possibility of bankruptcy...... I work full time and when my general bills are paid I am left with £200 per month, for diesel, food, and living expenses. I have tried so hard to keep paying my debts, with the help of wonderful family, but cannot carry on like this.. I have spoken to a very helpful Counsellor at CCCS and we have discussed bankruptcy, but I am scared.....

Hi. Have you done a full SOA with the CCCS (ie gone through all your incoming and outgoings?). Have they recommended bankruptcy or did you just ask them about it? Have a chat to the lovely peeps on the bankruptcy board - there are loads of people over there who have been through it, thoought it about etc. They will give you a good idea of whether it's something for you or not - and they are all pretty nice over there.

Can you post an SoA?
Have you considered taking action over the poor advice you were given? You may be entitled to some compensation which could pay a chunk off your debts.
Is there any way the two of you could up your income and make a DMP work?0
