Being told my debt was on my current account

I have sent out both the intital letter and the 12+2 day letter to Marlin in regard to a loan i took out with HSBC in 2001.
Basically I wanted proof of the balances and that they had not added any charges from my current account, and if they had were they legally allowed to add the 2 debts.
They have responded to both of my letter each time instisting that the debt of £1935 is due on my current account so the are under no obligations under the 1974 CCA.
In my 12+2 letter I added at the top that this sum was from a loan not my current account so they were still liable.
I am so angry I was to call them and shout at them but I know it is more sensible to write, but what can I argue if they keep staying it is from my current account so they do not have to provide me with any prrof?
Thank you so much for any help.

I would send a subject access request - under the Data Protection Act they will need to send all the information you request. If you ask for everything they hold on your then they will have no option but to include the loan agreement. After falling off the gambling wagon (twice): £33,600 (24,000+ 9,600) - Original CC Debt: £7,885.91
