Sticky Bread maker

Hi there - just wondered if anyone could help?

I have been making bread in my new (from ebay) bread machine as per its instructions and have found that each time the bread is really difficult to get out of the pan.

So much so that the loaf usually ends up in several pieces - not really what I'd planned! Its almost as if I need to grease the pan first.

Am just trying now with a tried and tested recipe from my previous machine - so we'll see what happens - but if anyone has any suggestions......

The bread sticks regardless of whether I take it out immediately or leave it to cool or leave it until it is cold! I'm a bit confused as to what I'm doing wrong.

Many thanks for reading.

  • I had a breadmaker a long time ago and this is what kept happening to me. I complained to the manufacturer (Prima) and they sent another pan but after a while the same thing happened again.

I gave up and started making bread by hand and never looked back.
  • It might help if you grease the pan and paddle with a little oil first. I have a MR and it tells you to do this - just like seasoning a wok really - it builds up a protective coating.

  • try removing the paddle once kneeding is over, then throw the dough back in.

My loaf usually needs a really good shake first and then comes out fine.I hold the pan upside down, with a tea towel cos its hot,and shake downwards. The paddle mostly stays in the pan after.Mines a Panny.
