Can I get a better loan?
Hi
first post on these forums but have been reading through a lot of threads and your advice has been a great help. I'll give you a brief overview first.
Due to a change in circumstances I have run up debt of nearly £12k in the last 2 years alone. About £3k of this is on credit cards which thanks to this site I have transferred most of to interest free cards for the next year, and crucially have cut up ALL my cards to stop things getting worse.
I also have an unsecured loan with Barclays for £9k over 4 years. With payment protection I am paying £255 pm for a 4 year loan which I started in March. I have no mortgage so unsecured is my only option.
My quetsion:
Is there a cheper unsecured loan out there or do you advise me to stick with this rather than transferring. I would need a loan of approx £10,5k to pay off the current loan and payment protection and would be willing to increase the loan length to a maximum of 5 years.
Any advice is much appreciated.
