Looking for hair, make up and good resturant in Kendal area!

I am continuing with my secret wedding plans..... got a month to organise it! To complicate things further, I live in Devon and the wedding is going to be in Kendal, Cumbria where I have never been before!

Anyone from that area?! I need to find someone cheap to do my hair and make up. Also looking for a nice place to go out for a meal after the wedding... must allow children as our DD will be with us.

Might be worth posting on the local noticeboard of www.netmums.com

put in the postcode of where you are staying and it will direct you to the right area.
post in the noticeboard, not in coffeehouse.

you never know there could be someone on maternity leave who could come to you and might not charge so much. Or someone who works part-time.

Hi there, I haven't been able to find any really cheap places, but I knwo a few people who have used the powder room in Bowness fro their wedding make up, it is probably worth a phonecall to see if she will come to you as Kendal is about 10 miles from Bowness!

A restaurant that I would really reccomend is Lucy 4 at the porthole and that is in Bowness on Windermere aswell. It is absolutely gorgeous with a really lovely atmosphere
