Posted a little while ago about a young friend of mine who has some debt. She has been very ill and the health team supporting her were supposed to write to her gym asking to cancel her monthly payments. They forgot!!!!
The debt has been passed on, or has it, to a crowd called Debt Resolutions. Good advice here has suggested that they indeed are not a dca but part of the gym set up.
I have been granted the right to conduct her business with them. With charges they are seeking just over £300. I intend to make a full and final tomorrow. What figure would you suggest. being a cheeky chap, I thought around half.

Hi
Not sure on gym's since I'm not a member of one but if Debt Resolutions are part of the "gym network" (sounds dodgy!) then I would think they are unlikely to accept much less than the amount owed.
It may be worth seeing if you can negotiate a monthly amount with them in the meantime and wait for it to be passed to a dca who may well accept 50% since they buy debts for peanuts!
Sorry I've not been much help and I'm sure someone with more knowledge on these things will be along soon.Debt 30k in 2008.:o Cleared all my debt in 2013 and loving being debt free
