Hi folks really need some advice,

I checked my credit report and there was a default for £390.00 from a company called capquest. The thing is i want to have this default taken of my file do i contact capquest and offer to pay the £390.00 in return for the default being removed, and is it possible to have it removed, or can anyone advise me in the right direction.

you could negosiate it as a condition, but they are under no obligation todo so.

Do you know if this is actually a debt you owe?

Did you ever receive a notice of default? They are required to issue this so that you have a chance to make payment before a default is put on your file.
