  • never through coupons away till the date is up - been caught out before !

I totally agree! I nearly threw away a 40p Tesco specific coupon for Alpro which I thought I would never use as I hate Soya products. Then on the last day before it expired I found a 4 pack of yoghurts in Tesco at reduced price of 10p - so used the coupon, made a 30p profit and fed them to DH!! Now I keep all coupons no matter how remote the liklihood of using them!

IIRC the Tesco-specific mocs that were around for Alpro Soya a while back, had a barcode glitch that meant they scanned without buying Alpro Soya anyway Busylizzie! :rotfl:

And to answer Freefall's query earlier, the giftcard I finally wrenched from the trout's grasp was my 'compensation' for being overcharged on something (DTD = double the difference). I knew I was pushing it a bit as I had only paid 5p but decided the method of payment should not matter a jot, the point was I had been overcharged. The Manager agreed. You don't suddenly sign away your entitlement to claim under the Tesco refund policy just because you pay with mocs (all checked & OK'd at the till by a Supervisor as well).

IMHO, we couponers need to stand up and be counted as among THE best customers for Tesco because we talk about the flippin' place here every day - keeping the subject of Tesco permanently at the top of the vouchers board - and individually we go out of our way to shop there rather than anywhere else.

The odd DTD along the way is a drop in the ocean, any positive internet publicity on this scale is a goldmine for Tesco and I am sure they know it. I am sure we do influence lurkers to try 'a few' mocs at Tesco, and to return there again and again, when maybe they would have shopped elsewhere before.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Just about to dump them and checked on asda to see how much they were on internet
    2 for £1.50 so use 2 x 50p makes them 25p each.
we found them excellent for chocolate and brandy withice in .
    strawberry and vodka
u can make really nice cocktails then dance the night away with all the energy.

It is blocked in Tesco unless you buy it, if you want the coupon (50p no expiry date, uses loads of blue ink) then pm me, I still have a copy on my other computer (I will have to get rid of all the rubbish one day):o
Be thankful for what you have because it could all be taken away tomorrow.;)

    Well said!!! :T:T:T

I, too, completely agree with you but have found my very odd DTD hasn't been given to me b'coz I used MOCs...:( and the excuses have always been b'coz I bought the wrong product... I recently even had a runner who, with all due respect, was so dumb that instead of looking at the price of the item on offer looked at the price per ml and this was different to the price of the product!!! Obiously this would be different coz she was looking at the wrong thing altogether!!:rolleyes: Even when this was pointed out to her she still stood by what she was saying... Many times I think how managers end up getting the jobs they have at T's coz they come out with the dumbest excuses available... or are they trained for this?!:rotfl::p
