One of the Tesco's I use had 6 checkouts dedicated to coupons only today! I have been wondering why they don't do that for ages, after all they have cash only tills! You should have seen the queues for the coupon only tills! They were fast though and they only take the ones that scan. It was nice to see they are finally treating the couponers like valued customers instead of criminals!!

That sounds like a brill store. All MOC at mine need checking so I don't bother to pick my fave SA anymore as it makes no odds. I can imagine the look of distain more on the posher shoppers faces than the SA :rotfl:

Does anyone know if you can use the 'GQ' Magazine voucher in today Daily Mail in T's without buying it?

Does it say something like WH Smiths, Waitrose and coupon-accepting independent stores? If it does then the answer is a definite no for T's. They won't get their money back eventhough it will scan.

Yeah, it was a fantastic change for the better!!!!:T On top of that, they changed their own policy of what you can buy and not buy with coupons!:j It is a total change from what it was like last week! Last week you couldn't even buy a newspaper or magazine with coupons! The new policy is very fair and a whole lot better especially since I can get newspapers and magazines for the old dears in the home my Mom-in-law is in (the home is too far out to get a paper shop to deliver unless they pay an extra delivery charge:eek:, so I save them paying anything at all;)).

I think the posh shoppers were pleased that we couponers had our own tills so they weren't held up. It was a win-win situation where Tesco has made all their customers happy at the till!:T:T

You will come to like having your coupons checked, don't despair as it is a good thing. At least that is what I have found at another store I use regularly. For months now you have to have your coupons checked by a supervisor so I get them checked before I go through the checkout so if for some strange reason any of my coupons are rejected, which isn't often, then I can adjust my shopping accordingly as to what I want to pay (if anything - I firmly believe in the part of the policy that I can pay for all my shopping with coupons).;)
