Just read this on HUKD;
Waitrose £5 off £30 Spend in The Sun - 3rd October.
Voucher's valid in store from Sat 3 Oct - Sat 10 Oct inclusive.
As usual - voucher's valid on all items excluding: tobacco, stamps, mobile phone top-up vouchers, E top-up, lottery purchases, Gift Vouchers, cash back transactions, car park charges, Waitrose coffee shop and excludes Waitrose motorway service station branches.
The £30 has to be spent in one single transaction and it's one voucher per person.
I think these should be accepted at tesco seeing as it is a spend and save coupon:beer:If you think nobody cares whether you're alive or dead, try missing a couple of mortgage payments.:whistle:
My way is Atkins0 -

:rolleyes2 Just had a follow up call from Tesco wanting to know about my experiences with their Dundee call centre. :eek:
I think the poor girl wished she'd never asked :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
I explained my concerns that whilst Tesco have a 'national coupon acceptance' policy, the customer never knows from one day to the next whether their coupons will be accepted, as the policy is interpreted differently depending on the SA/Teamleader/CS Desk/Checkout Manager/Store Manager etc etc etc. :eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:
A shopping trip in the same store (on different days, of course) can result in coupons happily being accepted one day :j, whilst another day they will be scrutinised then rejected :mad: in a fashion that makes the customer feel like a criminal.
It is this inconsistency which is frustrating not only at store level but also at the call centre where you take pot luck on the person answering actually knowing what the national policy is, without having to pretend to check with another colleague, then giving you 'their own interpretation' of it, just to side with the store.
Following my most recent (useless) call to Dundee, I actually sent an e-mail direct to Terry Leahy and within 2 weeks I had a letter of apology and a £5 gift card for the conditional spend coupon that had been refused in store and by Dundee.
I also explained that I currently have a handbag full of e-mails (slight exagerration...it's full of coupons:rotfl:) from head office which I take with me when I go shopping, that I can show to staff if they refuse my coupons. As far as I am concerned, as long as I stick carefully to the policy....no duplicates/out of date/unredeemable or dodgy coupons.......and I am always careful, then a shopping trip to Tescos using coupons should be a positive experience, not the rollercoaster ride experienced by so many customers. :eek::eek:
Having worked as a checkout teamleader myself, I know this is probably a training and communication issue in some stores. Long term employees (old trouts) often stick to what they were told when they first trained and probably haven't had their training updated since, whilst newer (and generally younger) cashiers are usually aware of the correct policy, especially things like other store conditional spend vouchers.
When asked what would make me more likely to shop at Tescos, guess what I replied....a consistently applied MOC policy across all stores.....with a system in place to stop large scale abuse like Clowne store.... I still can't believe that the security staff at this store didn't spot these same customers returning again and again. Perhaps Mocs should only be taken when used with a validated clubcard, so that misuse/abuse could be traced back? If the policy was enforced across all stores, it might reduce abuse and genuine MOC users would have nothing to fear.0 -

She initially said this will only take a few minutes :rotfl::rotfl:.....15 minutes later and 'rant' over :rotfl::rotfl:she thanked me for my help and asked if I would like to be contacted for my opinion again by them. :j
Poor girl, every time she asked me a question on a scale of 1-5 about my call centre experience, I gave her an answer that wouldn't fit in her 'tick' box and I could hear her frantically typing to keep up with me :rotfl::rotfl:
