Hi Mad! I'll come out to play today because Hubby and I are celebrating our 28th anniversary today!!! 28 years! Ha, ha, ha to those that told me it would never work because of the age difference, Hubby is 22 years older. I was 19 when we met - you can do the math - and 21 when we got married) I guess we showed them what true love is!!! Two kids and 28 years later (30 years since we met) we're still happily married.;)
Congratulations Sher:beer: thats lovely well done to you both. Looking forward to the next 28years?:rotfl::T:T:T:T:T:T

But been an Avid Papercrafter i keep downloading all the FREE Onlone papers etc..
We share the same passion there sharica. I have more craft stuff stored on my computer than anything else. Mind you my coupon related files are getting quite big now lol! The other week I decided that I really needed to sort out all my bookmarked sites - was a breeze doing the non crafty ones, but the crafty sites took me over 3 days alone just to go through and re-organise etc!!!
Congratulations Sher60 on your Anniversary:T:beer::T
To show that it's not an all drivel post - went into my local today - always been pretty good with coupon acceptance - only to find that this week they have been briefed by the store manager that from now on it is only 6 coupons only.
I had a chat with a supervisor who showed me a memo that came from head office. I didn't see most of it, think it had a list of banned coupons (again didn't get to see any of the names) but it looked like pictures of different coupons on it, so assume that is what it was. Anyway the memo said that the store manager has the authority to refuse coupons if he/she thinks that a customer is abusing the policy. My store is the only one in our area that takes coupons (and they take a huge amount, was gobsmacked when they told me how many) and they do get hit for fraudulent coupons - so Manager has said that rather than a blanket ban which would obviously upset genuine users it is a max of 6 coupons.
I don't know if this memo has been sent to every store or not, but if so it clearly does give the Store Managers authority to refuse coupons. Now whether it could be argued that the wording is that it is authorization to refuse certain customers or a blanket ban on all customers/coupons I don't know
Thought it might be worth posting just incase anyone else runs into a similar change during the next week or so.0 -
Congrats Sher60 - well done
Went in this morning and took a £20 clubcard voucher with me to double up for wine for xmas seeing as the double up finishes on the 30th September. Found the £3 wine that's never been in stock and cleared the shelf. Got some other stuff - paper, mile, yoghurts, etc and total bill came to over £60 before bogofs. Hardly ever spend this much  - handed over my £40 doubled up vouchers and my MOC's including £5 Farm Foods - she ran all of them through apart from my 3 internets and the Farm Foods saying she just had to check it. While we were waiting I calculated my 3 internets were going to be more than the balance remaining so I swapped the £1.42 one for a £0.83 one and paid 17p :T:T :T :T
I've said in the past I usually spend at least £5 cash but it just didn't work out that way today - oh well - the young SA didn't bat an eyelid just asked me where I got the £6.89 MOC from - here of course. :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Oh - and of course I got a 5p of petrol/diesel as I had 'spent' over £50
and my free medal came from the Royal Mint today - thanks again to original OP.If at first you don't succeed, try, try, try - oh bu99er that just cheat0 -
Congrats Sher60 - well done

For a minute there I thought you meant £360 down to 17p :eek:but I guess the three should be the pound sign and you spent 60 down to 17p. Still brilliant though.0 -
Thanks! So far so good. Now I'm off to get coupons ready to go to T's to get a birthday cake for my Mom-in-law. She will be 90 tomorrow!:T We're going to have a little party for her here aafter they have a little party for her at the residential home she lives in so she will be well and truly spoiled tomorrow. She will also be very popular with the other residents as I have put together "goody bags" (courtesy of Tesco) for all the residents. The goody bags have things like shampoo, moisturizing lotion, tissues, sweets, crisps, cookies, fixadent, steradent, toothpaste & toothbrush for those that still have their own choppers, shaving stuff for the gents, Dove soap, sweeteners for the diabetics, etc.;)
what a lovely thoughtful idea, I'm sure all the residents will be thrilled.:jLive for today, for tomorrow is promised to no-one.
never complain about growing old,far too many people have been denied that privilege.0 -
The local Waitrose changed there policy to just 3 different coupons from last night. Poor girl who served me had apparent been getting grief about it all day, Don't know if this is a national thing or not but will try to grab a store manager tomorrow and find out.
Tesco Extra at Gatwick is definately NOT coupon friendly:(

Evening all,
Congratulations Sher60 on your wedding anniversary.
Went to 2 different Tescos today but was unable to use my Andrex Baby Wipes coupon as neither stores seem to sell it. Just looked online and cannot see it on there either. Does anyone know who does sell it please?
EDIT - Ignore this, I have just realised the coupon is actually for Andrex Fresh Toilet Tissue Wipes and not baby wipes. I have also found it online. Thanks0 -
