Incorrect Info on Credit reports

Hi

I'm in the process of trying to get a mortgage and have been rejected due to an unpaid CCJ on my credit report. To cut a long story short, after much investigation it appears that the CCJ was satisfied in June 2007. So, any searches already made are going to sit on my file, which has been incorrect for over two years!! I now have to wait until the Registry Trust send the correct info to the credit reference agencies but I wondered if anybody else has experienced the same? Also, do I have grounds to get searches removed where they have spelt my name incorrectly, or input the length of time at my current address incorrectly?
It's been a helluva week and I'm at the end of my tether!!
