Will they accept my mortgage application?

We have an appointment at an Abbey branch to apply for a mortgage next week, we have had a mortgage agreed in principle with them already but through a broker but have decided to go to Abbey and apply direct. We have chosen a slightly different deal to that offered by the broker.
My only worry is my last three wage slips are showing half pay because I have been off sick due to an operation. I am now back at work but this will not show until my wage slip at the end of the month. Does anybody know if this will be a problem?
My partners wage slips are fine but I know that his income alone would not be acceptable for the amount we need to borrow.
Many Thanks
JB

Abbey can send a reference to your employer, or you could provide them with a letter from your employer confirming you are back at work and on full pay.
If the loan to value is pretty low and you have really good credit histories they may not even ask to see a payslip but you need to be able to show them something if they do....in my experience the above should do it for you.
good luck with it.Happily an ex mortgage broker!0 -
Thanks for you reply. I will get a letter drawn up in advance as a precaution.
Thanks Again!
