1 month since my LBM........

The first month has been ok, cleared £584.17 from my debt, which whilst it is not a huge percentage of my debt, it is going in the right direction.
I have found so much unbelievably good advice on this site and my only regret is that I didn't find it sooner!
I changed my bank account to a bank I didn't have any debt with, and in the process of changing all my direct debits over - hopefully will go smoothly!
I have been stricter with my budget but there are still savings to be made I am sure, so once things have settled down I will repost my SOA for advice.
I had a play on the snowball calculator which was interesting reading - I thought I was doing the right thing by overpaying my credit cards but it makes you see things in a different light and I will actually be better making larger payments against my old overdraft so I will amend my budget accordingly.
The only low point I have experienced this month is finding a number of my friends are announcing pregnancies etc which does make me a little down as being a mother is all I have ever wanted to do, but I know that hopefully in a couple of years I can be in their shoes and be in a position where I don't have to worry about money anymore.
Just wanted to say a big thank you to everyone on this forum, just reading your posts and hearing your journeys helps me to believe I can do this!

I enjoy reading stories like this as it spurs me on as well.
And £584.17 seems like quite a significant amount to me.

Well done! I'm relatively new to this site and have mainly read posts, rather than posted myself. But am inspired by what I read and I love it when I hear that someone is closer to their DFD and is going through the same challenges as I am.
Keep it up and good luck with your journey:TDFW Newbie:D0 -
