LX Direct code problem

I did an order last night to the value of £23 I think, used a 10% off code and a £15 off voucher (no minimum order value). It went through fine, accepted both codes, giving a final total of £8ish. This morning I got a confirmation email but with only the 10% deducted. Soooo what do you think is going on? Will I only get the 10% even though it previously showed it being deducted - in which case I want to cancel the order?

As far as I'm aware LXDirect only allow one voucher code at a time? (Unless one of them is for free P&P)

You could try giving them a call first? Be aware though, they will ask you where you got the code from as they are not transferable! But if you're anything like me you'll have a couple of email addys that always get junk emails from them. ;):D

Can you remember seeing the £15 off voucher in the final screen before you submitted your order? Most of the time the voucher is visible in the Shopping Basket screen but when it comes to the final confirmation screen the voucher has not been applied - normally because you may have used it in the past!

Yes it was definately there because it came up with a final price of £8. I saved a screengrab of it showing the discount so I suppose I could show them that but then if I wasn't supposed to have the code anyway, probably not a good idea. It says in the email you can cancel the order but I can't find anyway of cancelling it.

It happened to me once, when i phoned she said its because credit department dont allow two codes, so one was declined after placing order, so i asked to keep the higher value code, of which she accepted thankfully.
What they always tend to do is keep your lower value code ie 10% discount, instead of a £15 or £20 discount.
P.s before phoning make sure you remember to have your code at hand, and dont stutter lol !!!

Nope they dont give 2 discounts and it does say this on the voucher t+c's if you use 2 they usually apply the one that looses them the least money , just phone and ask for the higher one to be applied they should do it.

Are the people who are having trouble using two codes paying by credit/debit card or do you have an account with LX?

The two codes together seem to have worked for me in the past but I pay by credit card

    I put it on account.
  • Never had a problem using 2 codes together before either (paying by cc). As long as one starts with xx and the other with zg (if new customer) or zq (if existing customer). I think they normally take off the % discount off straight away but don't take the £5, £10, £15, £20 or whatever value code you have entered until the item has been dispatched so might be best to wait untill you have the item then check your account. I've also found that when phoning them up, you get a different answer from each person you speak to. One will say you can use a combination of vouchers, one will say you can't. Hope this helps.
