just dont know what to do anymore!

Help...I don’t know what to do! I've been living with debt and being bad with money for as long as I can remember. I wonder if I have a psychological problem with money as it seems to be the constant thing that is holding me back in life. I’m 28 years old and I feel as though I’ve tried everything. I’ve started debt management plans and failed at them. I keep trying to get credit to cover the shortfall and then when I seem to be making headway I go and spend more money...does anyone know if there is a service that I can approach that might help me look at things on a bit more of an emotional level. I’ve cut myself off from all my friends because I just spend money with them and I can’t carry on like this. I know what I need to do but doing it is so difficult. HELP

  • You have come to one of the best places for help with your money. The people on here are great at advising.

But I think you need to get to the root of why you feel the way you do about money. Examine your motives, and maybe speak with your doctor if you think that something like depression could be an issue.

In the meantime start a spending diary, to keep track of where your money goes. Put together a SoA and post it on here for advice on where to cut back and how to deal with your debts. And keep posting on here for support and help. Feel free to ask questions, to ask for help, to say when it is getting too much or when you feel tempted. There is sooooooo much compassionate and practical help on here it can be quite overwhelming at times.
