Hi
I'd be grateful for any tips/advice about how to go about enforcing a CCJ against a a 2nd hand car dealer. I'd like to know if anyone has had any success. The Company who I have a CCJ against have ignored the deadline to pay me know I have to return to the courts.
Should I give up or keep going using all the means that the court has available?

I would definately keep going.
Have you used bailiffs yet? I believe there are different rules for a business than for an individual so you should be able to get your money. After falling off the gambling wagon (twice): £33,600 (24,000+ 9,600) - Original CC Debt: £7,885.91
Dad Gift 6k ¦ Savings & Inv Tst: £2,500
Loan 10k: £0 ¦ Dad 5.5k: £2,270 ¦ LTSB: £0 ¦ RBS: £0 ¦ Virgin £0 ¦ Egg £0
Total Owed: £2,270 (+6k) 11/08/20110 -
Yeah im thinking of using baliffs. I know theres a couple of other options e.g 3rd party debt order, charging order, applying to make them bankrupt.
Should be an interesting couple of months trying to get money out of em. Money that the court says they owe me I should say.0 -
How much are we talking about?0

Sorry for the delay in my reply. Im owed over a £10000

You could get a baliff in, the problem you may find is they just liquidate the company and start up again the next day. If that happens or it just turns out they have no assets, you could have to pay all the fees.0

Yeah I thought of that. What they owe us is a relatively small sum so to wind up there company with all that entails is something I don't think they'll do. Then again they are Rogue Traders.
I find it amazing how heavily stacked the odds are against the person who obtains a CCJ. I watched a programme last night called 'Cowboy Custommers' that highlighted this.0
