    KC sends her apologies for not being online - she has tried to find an internet cafe but with no luck, so will be heading to the library for internet access over the next few days.

    :hello::hello::hello::hello:

    I'm back (temporarily)! I joined the library yesterday finally, and there was a *queue* to use the computers :eek: So I came back today :p. The top totty was glorious, its true - I think he noticed the droool that Wol and I were giving off tho, he started to mention his wife rather a lot .

    The move itself went brilliantly, entirely because of Wol, who is a pearl beyond price. We'll be having a slapup meal later on near Wol's to celebrate (so she doesn't have to abstain :D). The thing that went fastest was unpacking books, since all the book boxes everywhere were holding things up - and you wouldn't believe the number of things I've got rid of to charity shops in the last few weeks - steel tipped builders wellies (big even on me, they'd drown Wol), ceramics, ornaments, books (I've got some Anne McCaffrey books with me right now) - my ambition is to get it down to just the bookcases with books in (i.e. not cupboards), which I'm not far off. The place smells like a musty library in some parts of the main room, which isn't really desirable :cool:

    I've been painting the counselling room - ran out of the right paint, tho I have another cream I can use. I haven't been that wonderful with arranging workmen, its true :o so I got going myself on the boxing for some insulation, which was holding everything else up because its so big. *All* the tradespeople round here are mad busy, even the one who did my retaining garden wall last year.

    My sister brought my mum over from France at the beginning of last week, and we did a massive supermarket shop, to stock the new fridge/freezer :D. My mum stayed for 2 days, and even at her age she was working like a dog in the front, clearing leaves and ivy and the odd bramble, it looks much better.

    My sister's been down again since then, and I have my 2nd toilet ready for installation - its currently sitting in the living room :D. Plus a sidelight and assorted sundries.

    Fridge/freezer is going, washing machine is going, but the dishwasher can't get under the counter, some floortiles have been laid badly and they need to be mashed around.

    I have a new bedstead, and the shiny new mattress, made in England no less, has been ordered - another 2 weeks to wait.

    Still haven't unpacked fully in the kitchen :o

    Update on the removal guy above .... the secret... erm, Wol told me the secret. I can't remember it - I'm useless :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

    A dongle .... see, I'm a bit out of touch with the new ways of connecting to the net. I remember when you won that one, Hypno, but I've no clue what to do. And frankly, I need a new laptop - in the first part of August, mine was really slowing down, and it really is about to seize up. Entry level ones are 3 times as powerful as my present one, so that'll be good :)
