Christmas Jobs

Options
Hi all,

I just wanted to start a thread about Christmas jobs, as I'm sure there are a lot of people out there who will be after them, and we can keep each other updated about who's hiring, whether to go on their website or ask in store etc.

I am planning on going round my local town centre asking about Christmas jobs on Saturday, so I'll come on here after and let people know what I have found out!

I'm just having a quick look on some websites, and discovered that HMV has started listing Christmas vacancies on their website: www.hmvcareers.co.uk The couple I have looked at are for 25 hours over 5 days.

I also know that Debenhams in Birmingham had a recruitment day last weekend, so looks like they are already starting to recuit.

I'll probably post again in a few mins after I've looked at some more websites, but if anyone else has any info, please add!

    It would be better if you could go on another day rather than Saturday as that's when they'll be at their busiest and have less time for you.

    I remember trying to get a Christmas job in Hamleys last year - they recruit early. If I can't find a TV job I may just apply lol. Bit of extra money and have fun too! lol

    Here's what I've found out so far;

    WATERSTONES
    are all advertised online (i asked in one of the stores)

    ASDA you get an application form from the customer services desk.

    I've been looking for a job for 3 months now and Xmas recruitment makes me feel like I've more of a chance. At least Xmas is better than nothing right.
