csa payable question

can anyone here tell me what payment is required off someone that is on long term incapacity benefit, (therfore getting too much income to qualify for income support for himself) when the ex-partner that has the kids is on income support.

Have you looked at the CSA website?

Look here http://www.csa.gov.uk/new/faq/calculatecm.asp#Q5

Scroll down slightly to you find the heading flat rate. And it say £5 from the absent parent on incapcity benefit.

That is on the new system which all new cases are on.

Do you mean what deductions can be made in respect of CSA when some one is on IB?
If so then if applicable the max is £5 per week for benefits of £100 and under

If you have looked at the link I posted that is what it seems to be saying to me.

When my husband was made redundant and was claiming JSA he only had to pay £5 a week for his two children.

If the kids stay overnight with the absent father more than 52 nights per year then the case would be assessed as Nil if there is no shared care then the case would be £5.00
