Hi There.

We owe £6k on a credit card and £3k on overdraft on current account and are thinking of consolidating into a loan. Could someone please advise if this is the best option????

Thanks very much!

I would seriously advise against doing this. I have consoliated at least three times over the past 8 years or always to clear my CCs and as you will see from my signature I'm still in the same position - owing to the CCs and owing even more on the loans.

You have to address your over-spending first of all - something I only realised since joining this website about a year ago.

  • Hi lookat my signature - thats a result of consolidation after consolidation. I fooled myself into believing that i wouldnt use the CC once i had cleared them but it escated. Finally for the first time its been nearly 2 months without touching my CC!!!!

Would echo what others have said, i really wouldnt advise that you consolidate. Why dont you pop your SOA up and some people might be able to advise where you can make some changes to your budget.
