Arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!! I'm going maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaad!!!!
Basically i have been logging on fine this morning...then all of a sudden i cant log in and when i try it tells me i need to enable cookies (even though i have never had to before) anyway i have enabled them and it STILL says the same thing?!! It started when i looked on hotmail and a message there said someone had tagged me in a picture, so i clicked the link to the picture and tried to log in, since then...nothing!
I don't know what to do....do you think it is a bug/virus? Does anyone know how to fix it...thanks

Sounds suspicious. Can you access Hotmail? If so, can you paste the link to the "tagged" picture, I'm pretty sure that it won't be Facebook. This is what the bad guys are doing nowdays, using social websites to send out invitations with links to malware. The most common method is sending an email message informing you that you have been tagged or that there is a new video that you should watch etc... The URL will usually take you to a website that looks like facebook and might have a link to watch the video and when you click on the video you are prompted to install an "update". It's also just as easy to provide a URL as in your case and then once you click on the URL you are infected with malware.
I'd suggest as a start to install: http://www.superantispyware.com/ and run the update and scan to see if that finds anything suspicious on your computer.
A virus scan is also recommended, hopefully you have antivirus if not try the online scanners: http://www.kaspersky.co.uk/virusscanner and/or http://housecall.trendmicro.com/uk/
And lastly, make sure you are using IE8 if you REALLY want to use Internet Explorer, IE8 has better security than its predecessors, I'd recommend Firefox though.0 -
I can access Hotmail yes. I am on IE8. It is not my personal computer and they don't have firefox. Although they do have up to date anti virus and lots of safety stuff. I thought this might be the problem. I can't get onto hotmail unless i lower the security to medium, anything higher and it won't direct me to the page when i log in!
The link to the picture doesnt take me to anything but the facebook log in page again!! And when i try and log in it takes me to a page that says:
"Cookies required
Cookies are not enabled on your browser. Please adjust this in your security preferences before continuing."
I DO have cookies enabled though!! Arrrrrghhhhhhh!!
It's depressing me now as i don't know what could be going on there!
Do you still want me to paste the link btw?
Thanks for your help btw

There has been a lot about this over the net the past few days, there have been rumours that the application you are referring to is indeed malicious, although there has been no confirmation from facebook it looks like some kind of cross site scripting attack, thats as far as anyone knows up to now.

I'd be interested to view the URL, if you could post it I can have a look.
It does sounds strange though that ever since you clicked on the URL that you are being prompted to enable cookies. Have you tried removing all cookies from the browser and clearing internet cache to see if that helps? Tools > Internet Options > Browsing History > Delete0 -
In Internet Options go to the Privacy tab click the Sites button and check it isn't blocked in there. I had a problem logging on to Ladbrokes for ages until I found it was blocked in there.0
